Symphoniq TrueView complements Citrix EdgeSight to provide browser-to-database monitoring and diagnosis of Web applications delivered by Citrix NetScaler
ORLANDO, Fla. (Citrix Summit '07, Booth B411) — January 30, 2007 — Symphoniq® Corp., a pioneering provider of user-centric end-to-end performance management solutions for web applications and services, today announced the results of a collaboration agreement with Citrix® Systems, Inc., the global leader in application delivery infrastructure. Beginning this week at the Citrix Summit global partner conference, the companies will jointly demonstrate a comprehensive solution that makes it easier for customers to monitor and manage the performance of web applications.
As a result of this collaboration, customers who are using the popular Citrix NetScaler product line to deliver mission-critical web applications will have increased visibility into application performance through the entire web infrastructure, from the browser to the backend. By using the Symphoniq TrueView™ .NET and J2EE web application performance management suite with the Citrix EdgeSight™ end-user application performance monitoring tool, NetScaler administrators will be able to quickly isolate the source of application slow-downs within the complex web infrastructure, data center or application. This powerful combination also allows customers to quickly triage problems to reduce operating costs, reduce the costs associated with application downtime and improve end-user satisfaction.
According to Gartner Vice President Mark Fabbi, "Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) are well situated to monitor performance of all tiers in the web infrastructure because they must handle every transaction that moves through the system. By opening a window in to ADC traffic, IT operations can monitor and control overall system health. As web applications become increasingly complex with continued adoption of SOA and web services, end-to-end visibility will become increasingly mission critical."
"While EdgeSight focuses on measuring performance and availability across all Citrix application delivery solutions, our partnership with Symphoniq gives NetScaler customers the ability to drill deeper into the root cause of web application performance problems, especially those that originate between tiers in the datacenter," said Troy Trenchard, Vice President, Product Management, for Citrix. "EdgeSight monitors the experience of web application performance from the actual end user's perspective, while Symphoniq TrueView identifies the root cause of application issues and where improvements can be made in the application architecture."
"The combination of TrueView, EdgeSight and NetScaler offers a powerful solution to delivering and managing complex web applications," said Hon Wong, CEO of Symphoniq. "The only effective way to manage the complexity of the Web is to take a browser-to-database actionable approach to performance monitoring and diagnostics."
EdgeSight and NetScaler are immediately available through Citrix's sales force and channel partners and TrueView is available through Symphoniq.
Symphoniq Corporation (www.symphoniq.com) created the patent-pending TRUE™ (The Real User Experience) monitoring technology to track real responses times from the browser to the back-end. Symphoniq's TrueView product suite simplifies the complexity of managing Web applications and services. Based on the TRUE technology, TrueView analyzes end-to-end performance, making it easy to find and fix problems and bottlenecks. Since 1990, Symphoniq's executive team has delivered innovative solutions for managing enterprise environments, first by founding EcoSystems, then NetIQ (NASDAQ:NTIQ). Leading companies from Fortune 500 to Web 2.0 use TrueView to rapidly diagnose Web disruptions, plan Web infrastructure improvements, reduce operational costs and improve customer satisfaction.
