Lockheed Federal Credit Union had just moved its online banking system from a hosted provider to an in-house solution, and it needed a way to monitor the real user experience of its app.
LFCU looked at synthetic monitoring solutions like Gomez, but rejected them as expensive and inadequate, since each additional transaction increased the cost of the solution as well as the hassle of updating the monitoring scripts whenever the system changed.
Instead, Thatcher's team chose Symphoniq TrueView's real user monitoring.
TrueView gave LFCU the comprehensive monitoring it was looking for, and turned troubleshooting from a "laborious, step-by-step process" to a swift and focused activity. TrueView even helped LFCU troubleshoot problems outside its own infrastructure.
"Our online banking system does single-sign-on with several different hosted providers for specific products; TrueView tells us whenever one of those interfaces isn't working properly, and that has been very helpful," said Thatcher.
And Symphoniq's pricing made the decision easy for LFCU.
"TrueView gives us more information at a much more attractive price. We can monitor whatever we need to rather than settling for monitoring a few specific paths through the application."
